We have recognised in recent years a dramatic change regarding the competitive nature of sport resulting in the need for comprehensive, research orientated strength and conditioning programs aimed at injury prevention as well as improving the performance of the athlete in their chosen sport
Understanding the athlete, their body and their sport is essential in providing an exercise regime needed to take their ability/performance to a new level. The athlete will undergo an initial screening process like no other, including Medical History, Muscular Movement Analysis, Comprehensive Testing (Power, Strength, Speed, Agility etc.) as well as a goal setting session with our Sports Scientist & Strength and Conditioning Coach. By gaining this level of understanding we are able to develop comprehensive and individualised training regimes.
Combining this approach with our Exercise Physiologists’ extensive training in the fields of Exercise Science and Human Movement, our athletes are given the knowledge that can help them succeed.
Our Sports Scientist can conduct sport specific testing formulating both qualitative and quantitative data (eg. Power, Speed, Agility, Fatigue Indicator, Endurance and Injury Risk) which can provide valuable feedback to both the athlete and the coaching staff.
Comprehensive Testing allows for the removal of guess work when planning training sessions, which means you train with specificity and purpose every session.
Strength Training consists of any form of exercise aimed at improving or developing strength. Vision Exercise Physiology uses only the latest scientifically based research in order to improve your athlete’s ability to withstand the rigorous demands of their chosen sport.
Conditioning Training consists of any form of training techniques which exercises the Cardiovascular System (Heart, Lungs and Blood Vessels). For sports that require prolonged/sustained high work rates (eg. AFL, Rugby League, Rugby Union and Soccer)
conditioning training is an essential cog in your training wheel.
Vision Exercise Physiology uses only the latest scientific based training methods when implementing your sport specific conditioning program.
Speed and Agility Training
Speed and Agility training is critical in sports which require explosiveness and fast and effective change of direction movements (eg. Volleyball, Basketball, Cricket and Touch Football).
Understanding the athlete, their body, their sport, and their state of mind is essential in providing an exercise plan needed to take their ability to a new level. We spend the one on one time needed to gain this level of individual understanding and tailor a training regimen around those factors.
Combining this approach with our Exercise Physiologists’ extensive training in the fields of Sports Science and Human Movements you are given access to knowledge that can help you succeed.
